An important part of ECWR’s ministry and Mission statement is, “Evangelicals Concerned responds to the needs of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered evangelical Christians primarily through nurturing fellowship. It is a ministry providing a safe place for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered evangelical Christians to deal with issues of reconciliation, integration, and maturation of spirituality and sexuality.”

So what do you do when you have reconciled your faith with your sexuality? At ECWR we believe this is only the beginning!

2 Corinthians 5: 18-21 says, “ 18Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, 19namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world, not counting their trespasses against them, and God has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21God made Christ who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Christ.

Many of us struggle with how to be an ambassador, or how to be a more effective ambassador. Not to worry! God has given every one of us gifts from the Spirit. When we tap into these gifts we find a natural (part of our DNA) way to be the ambassadors God calls us to be. We encourage you to take this survey and then pray about what God would have you do with the gifts you have been blessed with. This is truly the next step for you to mature in the Spirit.
