Our activities are open to anyone who
would like to participate and we encourage you
to visit us.
EC hosts conferences, local groups, and Bible
studies which clearly communicate that faith and
sexuality can be integrated. Our activities are
safe places where people from all Christian backgrounds
can find shelter from hostility, seek Christ-centered
answers, find support and fellowship, and grow
spiritually. Evangelicals Concerned creates safe
places for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender
GLBT Christians.
Getting Involved
Before
you get involved, you might wonder, "who
am I going to meet at an EC event?" To read more
about what our community and activities are like,
read about past events in our Event
Summaries .
It can be difficult attending an activity or event
for the first time, especially when you might not
know anyone. Rest assured that we will welcome
you.
When you call or e-mail us to find out when and
where our next activities are, we would be happy
to make a comfortable introduction to one or two
people who you can connect with at your first event. They'll
be sure to answer any questions you have and introduce
you to others.
Our activities are designed to help build community
among believers and to help support and encourage
each other through the process of reconciling our
faith with our sexuality. You can be as involved
or uninvolved as you would like.
We welcome your call or e-mail to find out how you can get involved in any of
these activities.
We invite you to join us at one of our
upcoming activities and events.
Conferences
Since 1980, Evangelicals Concerned
has sponsored an annual conference, held in various
locations around the United States . These retreats
are a wonderful opportunity to get to know other
members better and to grow in your Christian faith.
Seminars and Retreats
We sponsor many small and mid-sized seminars and
retreats around the U.S. These gatherings provide
Christian fellowship and encourage people to grow
spiritually .
Local
Groups
Our drop-in groups meet regularly in various locations.
They have various formats, from very casual discussions
to more structured Bible studies.
Our local groups hold various social events where
you can get to know people. We sponsor occasional
potluck meals, movie nights, cultural excursions
and outdoor activities. You're guaranteed to meet
great people, enjoy good food, and depending on
who's in attendance, you just might enjoy listening
to a rousing, impromptu Broadway show tune or two.
