Local groups have been an integral and vital aspect of our ECWR community.  For many years, they served to provide members with a safe and protected environment in which to meet one another and grow personally and spiritually together.  In recent years however, the availability of accepting and affirming churches have made the need for local groups less compelling.  Furthermore, those who are seeking support and safety to help them integrate their faith and identity have had their needs met through online resources and virtual communities.  Nevertheless, there are many individuals who need personal support, but live in areas of the country where there are no ECWR local groups or affirming churches.  In an attempt to develop new approaches to address such emerging realities, ECWR is developing a network of supportive friends and mentors who are available to provide support in person, by telephone, or on-line.   Please use the contact request form available on this website to indicate your interest.  

Currently, we have local groups that meet in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco-East Bay, Los Angeles, Pasadena and San Diego. If there is no local group in your area and you wish to be paired up with a mentor, then you can apply for a mentor via the mentor request form.
