PAPeggy has been involved in
the Christian Church throughout
her life as the
daughter of a minister, a graduate

Peggy’s journey led to a befriending
and questioning process to understand
the dynamics of people she knew very
little about while attempting to integrate
her faith with social justice. As
a result, her personal faith in Jesus
has been strengthened and has translated
into an increasing outreach to others.
She has become an advocate of justice
for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered
people and a strong proponent of full
inclusion of GLBT people within the
church.
Peggy is a speaker in churches, universities,
and conferences throughout the United
States. She is a published author,
having contributed a chapter to editor
Walter Wink’s Homosexuality
and Christian Faith: Questions of
Conscience for the Churches.
Active memberships include: PFLAG
(Parents, Families and Friends of
Lesbians & Gays), Evangelicals
Concerned, and Soulforce. For a number
of years, she served as a member of
the Council of Welcoming and Affirming
Baptists and is a member of the Central
Baptist Church (Wayne, PA), which
is dually aligned with the American
Baptist Churches USA and the Alliance
of Baptists.
Peggy and her husband Tony live in
St. Davids, PA. They are the parents
