Peggy
Campolo has been involved
in the Christian Church throughout her life
as the daughter of a minister, a graduate
of Eastern University in St. Davids, PA,
and later the
wife of a pastor. Through the years, she
became increasingly aware of people who
were being marginalized by mainstream Christendom
and subjected to growing controversy and
condemnation.
Peggy’s personal journey led her to
integrate her faith with social justice.
As a result, her personal faith in Jesus
has been strengthened. She has become an
advocate of justice for gay, lesbian, bisexual,
and transgendered people and a strong proponent
of full inclusion of GLBT people within
the church.
Peggy
speaks
in churches, universities, and conferences
throughout the United States.
- MP3
recordings of some of their discussions
on homosexuality and the Bible.
Her husband, Tony
Campolo, is a noted evangelist, a professor
of sociology at Eastern College in St. Davids,
Pennsylvania, the author of many books,
and a founding member of the board of Call
to Renewal.
Peggy and her husband Tony live in St. Davids,
PA. They are the parents of a son and daughter
and have four grandchildren.
